About Us

According to His Word Outreach knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.ATHWO is dedicated to empowering communities of color through grassroots programming that started 20 years ago that addressing their unique challenges. Our mission is to create equitable access to health and wellness resources, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We focus on tackling the root causes of diseases, enhancing health literacy, and fostering community vitality. Together, we aim to amplify voices and support the social determinants of health for a brighter future.

Programs

According to His Word Outreach is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on numerous exciting projects, including climate initiatives, smoking cessation education and support groups, health and wellness initiatives, advocacy, and a safe space for community dialogue, all aimed at helping improve the lives of others. Toys for Families in Need

Each holiday season we partner with local toy drives to connect families with unwrapped toys for their children during the holiday season. Stay tuned for the link to request toys for 2025.

Health and Wellness

Our team consists of housing specialists, community health workers, traditional health workers, and mental health workers, providing comprehensive support. We believe housing is health and collaborate with to help community members secure affordable housing, healthcare access, food assistance, emergency climate support, advocacy, peer support, addiction recovery, grief counseling, and youth.

Climate and Environment Education

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. We provided over 100 families with AC units. We targeted the underserved communities of color and the elder population. We host monthly workshops educating the community about the importance of sustaining our environment and its resources.
